DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS - May 9, 2008

Attention Legend High School students: Locker partner sign ups will be on Thursday, May 22 during lunches at Sierra. You both must sign your locker card, so start looking for your partner today.

Attention 8th Grade Students attending Chaparral next year: Chaparral locker partner requests are going to be completed online for the 08/09 school year. They will NOT be coming to Sierra as in years past. This service should be available after June 1st. If you have questions please call Laurie at CHS. P.S. 9th graders will have 3 people/lockers.

Did you attend New Beginnings last year? Would you like to be a leader this summer? Applications are available in the counseling office. They are due into the Counseling Office by Friday, May 9.

Attention Returning Sierra Students:
7th grade students who wish to be 8th grade student aides at Sierra next year need to stop by the counseling office and pick up an application. You must have all A's & B's this year and maintain all A's & B's next year. The Deadline is Tuesday, May 13. No Applications will be accepted after this date. Remember being responsible is part of the job!

The yearbook is coming soon. This year's book is loaded with interviews, stories, and pictures, including the award winning photos from Alex McCart and Katie Strabala. If you haven't purchased on yet, listen up. Last chance yearbook sales will start next Tuesday, May 13th. The cost is $35.00 and purchases will only be made through Mr. Palmer in Room 702. All sales will be cash only, no checks. There are a limited number of books left, so don't wait. You do no want to miss out on this last opportunity. Bring $35.00 cash to Mr. Palmer on Tuesday the 13th to buy your copy of the yearbook.

Attention Students: Do you want to keep in touch with your friends over the summer? End of the year sale on student directories. $1 each while supplies last - they are going FAST! First come first served! Get yours today from Mrs. VanDoren in the main office.

Attention 8th Graders: If you wanted to get an 8th Grade Panoramic class picture but you missed the deadline, information on how you can still order is available in the main office or at: www.bigclasspicture.com

We are looking for students who collect things! We would love to show off your collection in our display case in the LMC. Stop by and see Mrs. Novak or Mrs. Stover today if you have a collection you would like to share with the Sierra community.

Attention Students: No bus passes will be issued after 12:30 pm. You must have your ID cards to get on the bus. They need to be complete ID cards, and show the current 2007-2008 school year. If you have never received an ID, or have lost your ID, please see Mrs. Lisano in counseling.
