DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS - November 20, 2009

You only have seven more school days to bring your nonperishable food donations in to your homeroom classes by December 4th (no raman, please). All items collected go the Parker Task Force and help out families in our own community. A representative from Sierra's Student Council will be in each homeroom this morning to discuss the food drive in depth and to answer any questions.

Homeroom nonperishable food items contest update:
Currently, Mr. Robert's homeroom is in 3rd place with 88 items donated. Ms. White is in 2nd place with 160 items donated. And, Ms. Morril is in 1st place with 176 items donated. Thanks to everyone who has helped out, and please keep bringing in any contributions you can make.

The Douglas County Educational Foundation (DCEF) in cooperation with the Douglas County Federation (DCF) and DCSD are pleased to announce that the nomination process for the 2009-2010Apple Awards is now open! The fifth annual fundraising event will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Wells Fargo Theater in Denver. Attention 7th grade girls! 7th Grade Girls Basketball sign-ups begin today, Tuesday, November 17, 2009, through Friday, December 4, 2009. Practice begins on Monday, December 7, 2009, so hurry and get your paperwork in. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Goldberg in the main office.

Attention Students and Staff - Did you order your yearbook yet? Yearbooks can still purchased for $35, but your time is running out. Pre-Orders must be paid before Nov. 24th. After that date you will have to wait until spring, the price will go up to $40, and we may run out of books. The only way to guarantee that you get a book and to get the $35 price is to order now. Not sure if you ordered already? Check the Fee section in your Portal account. See Mr. Palmer in room 702 or Mrs. Van Doren in the main office if you have any questions.

7:00 am to 3:00 pm

If students stay until closing they must have arranged for a ride home at 3 pm.
Need a little more time to work on that class project or homework assignment?
Remember that the library is open every morning at 7 a.m. to help you out.
You may also obtain lunch passes every day and advisement passes every Tuesday and Thursday..
Be sure to request a pass before school or the day before you need it.
