Each year PHS students can choose from over 200 courses to take at PHS - 15 of which are Advanced Placement classes.

School Announcements and News

	CHICK-FIL-A CHALLENGE WEEK is over. It's official! Ponderosa won the Chick-fil-A Challenge! Thank you to everyone who ate lots of chicken and drank lots of delicious milk shakes! Special appreciation to Chick-fil-A for giving Ponderosa and Chaparral the opportunity to earn money for their school.

	DCSD COMMUNITY NIGHT WITH THE COLORADO AV'S will be on Saturday, November 8th at 7pm. Tickets are $22 each. Order forms are available in the Athletic office and are due to Mrs. Colbert by October 27, 2008.

	CAN THE WORLD BE SAVED in an afternoon by a Madwoman? Come see the comedy, "The Madwoman of Chaillot" to find out. Show dates are October 9-11 at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale during lunch or with Mrs. Barber in the Main office.

	PICTURE RETAKE DAY is Wednesday, October 8th during Advisement, from 8-9am in Room 119. If you are having your picture retaken, please make sure to bring the original picture packet with you. If this will be the first time you are having your picture taken, pick up an order form in the main office.

	THE YOUNG REPUBLICAN CLUB needs your help to send phone cards to our soldiers overseas! Bring your old cell phones, parts, and accessories to the box located outside Room 156, through October. They will be turned into cash for phone cards. Show your patriotism and help out a soldier!

	UPCOMING MEETINGS: FBLA Installation is Monday, October 6, Room 119. All members are encouraged to attend. MANDAORY SOPHOMORE CLASS MEETING Wednesday, October 8th, 7:45am, Auditorium FBLA large group picture is Wednesday, October 8th at 8:55am in the small gym. We need all 140 members to be there!!!! HP CLUB will meet on Wednesday, October 8th. Please see sign in Ms. Heaton's room.

	WANTED! Students if you are exceptional in specific subjects we want you to be a tutor! Did you know you can earn community service hours by helping others! please see Mrs. Bittrolff in the counseling office to get your name on the list.

	THE STANG SHOPPE is here for you! Are you in need of a binder, pen, pencil or highlighter? Check out all of the school supplies and maybe even a buy a donut! Your school store has snacks, drinks, and Mustang gear to get you ready for the new school year. Located in the cafeteria and open every lunch period and Advisement.
