Congratulations to yearbook and newspaper! Ponderosa High School's 2008 yearbook, Eques, won 1st place in state in the 5A division. The 2008 newspaper, The Mustang Express, won 2nd place in state in the 5A division at the Colorado High School Press Association (CHSPA) Conference held at CSU in Fort Collins on Thursday, October 16. Students who won individual awards include: Carly Bowman, Kiley Rubin, Whitney Korach, Heather Meadow, Lisa Jara, Brittany Schnitker, Kara Flores, Mike Rossetti, Kristen Runco, Blair Williams, Tessa Malsam, Becky Neuman, Sydney Bennett, Chris King, Andrew Streight, Courtney Tracy, Alec Loudenback, Carolyn Anderson, Alexis Perry, Young Kim, and Tyler Thompson.

Ryan Miwa, Science teacher, received a $200 grant from the Colorado Association of Science Teachers.

Congratulations to Alec Loudenback who scored a perfect 36 on the Math and Science portions of his ACT test.

Quite an accomplishment!!! Brielle Oakes, Angela Milano, and Sarah Monie were three of seventy girls chosen in the state of Colorado to compete in the Miss Teen Colorado, USA pageant. Congratulations to Brielle who was 3rd runner-up and to Angela who was named Miss Photogenic!

Congratulations to the Class of 2008 for earning 4.6 million dollars in scholarships! Good Luck in college!
