Ponderosa High School is one of two high schools in Parker, Colorado and is part of the Douglas County School District formed in 1958 by the consolidation of 17 smaller school districts.

DCSD It is the fourth-largest school district in Colorado, serving over 48,000 students with over 60 schools led by a seven-member Board of Education.

Ponderosa High School was founded in 1983; the school has been around for 23 years. Our school is very respected, earning an "excellent" score on the Colorado Student Assessment Program in 2004, and a "high" score in 2005.

Our new principal is Mr. Chuck Puga .

Ponderosa's mascot is the Mustang, and our school colors are cardinal and gold.
