Congratulations to the MVHS Girls Golf Team for placing 3rd at Regionals at Colorado Springs Country Club. We will represent MVHS as a team for the state tournament at Raccoon Creek May 19 & 20. Amy S placed 10th overall and Madison R shot 77 and placed 3rd overall. Hilary S shot 98 (good for 21st place) and will be the final member of the team.

Congratulations to our Girl’s Volleyball team for their 5th place finish in the state. The girls almost defeated number 1 ranked Grandview and ended their season beating Pine Creek in the final round.

Congratulations to our Varsity Football team for another successful season. Their season ended a bit sooner than they were hoping for, but the boys played hard and finished in the top half of 5A football teams.

Congratulations to our Varsity Cheers and Varsity Poms for their first place finish in the regional tournament.

I would nominate Billy B. for student of the month. He is one of our peer interns this semester and is also the "coach" of our Unified Basketball team. He is a huge part of our intern program and does a great job of working with each of our kids (even Alex who is no longer here but plays basketball with us has a connection with Billy that started during the soccer season). He's a senior and is strongly considering being a teacher in his future. He goes that extra mile to connect with our students and it is clear he is learning a ton from them as well.
