Dear future high school senior and family:

The Mountain Vista High School yearbook staff hopes your senior year will have a great good startWe just wanted to send you a review of submission guidelines and a friendly reminder of our October 3rd deadline for senior pictures and quotes.
Also, the Yearbook staff has finalized the specifications for senior photographs for the 2008-2009 yearbook.

Photographs need to follow the following criteria:
• Wallet size(2.5”x3.5” @ 400dpi)
• Vertical orientation only
• No soft focus
• No student or photographer names imprinted on photo
• Photo must be printed on photo quality paper
• Clothing worn for yearbook photo must adhere to school/district dress code
• Color or black-and-white will be accepted, however color is preferred as the book is in full color
• Images on CD are acceptable, however the image should be saved as either a JPEG or a TIFF and the resolution should be set at 400 dpi. Due to color calibration issues with each individual scanner and/or color monitor we cannot guarantee the color quality of images submitted on disk. Photos on floppy disk will not be accepted.

Submitting your photo to the yearbook staff:
• If you choose to work with one of the Preferred Photographers they will collect the $10 Senior Photo Fee and submit the fee, your photo, and your quote to the yearbook staff.
• If you choose to use a photographer not on the list then you must submit a photo that meets the guidelines above, along with a check for $10 to cover the Senior Photo Fee NO LATER than Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007. Photo, quote, and check should be placed in an envelope (with student’s name) and given to the office staff care of “Yearbook Advisor”.
