Educational Philosophy
# All students can learn. An ideal learning environment is one where students are respected for their individuality and their unique learning styles.
# Learning goes both ways. Good teaching starts with good assessment, observations, conferences and work samples help me learn about students' needs and guide my instruction.
# Learning is fun! I encourage a hands-on approach, which allows children to experience the multitude of unexpected outcomes that occur in real life. I use my sense of humor to engage and motivate my students. However, I also feel it is important to create a safe learning environment by establishing rules, guidelines and boundaries within the classroom.
