Educational Philosophy
I believe that all children have special gifts and it's my responsibility as an educator to help each child recognize and utilize their gifts. All children can learn and do at different paces. I structure my classroom so that I can meet the needs of all children and help each of them reach their fullest potential. It is my job to teach the curriculum in a variety of ways to ensure that each child becomes a successful lifelong learner.
In kindergarten, students are developing social skills, and learning how to make appropriate choices for both their social and academic learning. I provide a safe and nurturing environment where all children can make those choices. In my classroom, all children are welcomed and accepted for their differences, beliefs, and academic abilities. Kindergarten should be fun and exciting place since for many children this is their first educational setting and where they develop an attitude toward the rest of their education.
