We would like to invite you to celebrate the gift of literacy with your child! Every month Track C kids and teachers are opening their classrooms for a half hour of literacy!

We believe that it is important for kids to have the opportunity to share their literacy skills with their families. We also believe that is is equally important for the kids to observe and interact with their role-models (parents and grandparents) as they demonstrate the importance of literacy.

When will this Friendly Friday take place?

Who can participate on Friendly Friendly?
Friday is open to all children on Track C- kindergarten through sixth grade. Parents and Grandparents are welcome. We ask that, if an older sibling will be attending, that they are accompanied by an adult.

What if I can't attend Friendly Friday?
It is understood that, due to various work schedules and other obligations, that parents may not be able to attend. If that is the case, your child will have the opportunity to read with a peer, Classroom Buddy or other parents.

Does my child have to stay in his/her classroom?
The children are free to read with friends and siblings in other classrooms. However, "wandering" from classroom to classroom will not be allowed.

What time will Friendly Friday take place?
The time will be from 2:45 to 3:15 on the days listed below.

What books can we read?
You are welcome to bring a book from home or read a book from the classroom. The adult reads to the child, the child reads to the adult, or...take turns!
