I come from a teaching family. My grandparents, parents and some of my aunts and uncles were all teachers. My father eventually served on the Colorado State Board of Education. I have taught for 18 years and was one of the original teachers at Coyote Creek. My handiwork is evident as I put most of the desks in the third grade yellow pod room together! I have two daughters who go to school here at Coyote Creek.

When I am not teaching I play traditional jazz and swing music around the Colorado area with the Pearl Street Jazz Band and After Midnight. I also play bass with Funk Shui- a local jazz funk group.
