information This is the last issue of the Chronicle for the 2005-06 school year. Time does seem to fly!
The Spring Fling last Friday evening was a successful event; we enjoyed seeing and hearing our students perform, and we all shed a few tears as the sixth graders sang the now-traditional Graduation Song. This is always a bittersweet time—we’re excited for and proud of our sixth graders as they prepare for their next step of schooling and a new adventure in life, but we will miss them so much!

As the year is winding down, there is some information I need to share with you.

• We are still interviewing and hiring staff for next year. Since this is the last issue of the newsletter, be sure to watch your child’s Thursday Folders between now and the end of the school year for staffing announcements.
• We are working on some adjustments in our traffic situation for the beginning of the new year so, again, watch Thursday Folders for information about this.
• Our School Advisory Council (SAC) currently has some openings for next year: there is one opening for a Track B parent, and three openings for Track C parents. Please note the information page within this issue of the Chronicle about applying for membership on the Coyote Creek SAC.

Here’s to a summer vacation (no matter how brief!) that is rejuvenating and safe!

Destination Imagination

Congratulations to Destination Imagination Team!!

The Destination Imagination State Championship Tournament was held on Saturday April 29th at the University of Denver. Coyote Creek and Ranch View were represented in the Middle School Division for the "On Safari" Improv Challenge because they came in first place in the district tournament in March.

They did a fantastic job! The team tied for first place in their Instant Challenge and overall came in 5th place in the State! Wow! Their team work, creativity, and fast-thinking problem solving skills were very impressive and fun to watch. This team worked very hard this year preparing for, researching and practicing for these Destination Imagination Tournaments. Congratulations on a great year!!
