Did you know that the adult liver is the size of a flattened football?

At the Liver Toss Station, students learned about the functions of the liver by asking questions and playing a game. The questions were asked according to grade level. If the questions were answered correctly students got to toss a foam liver into a basket.

Students learned that:

  • The liver is the largest internal organ in your body
  • The liver helps in digestion, removing waste, and getting rid of old cells in your body
  • The liver helps distribute nutrients from food

The students liked learning about the liver and playing the game. Hopefully everyone learned something and understands how important it is to be healthy.
