About Buffalo Ridge Elementary
Buffalo Ridge Elementary has been serving the community for twelve years. The doors opened in 1997 with 495 students.
Today there are 573 students. 93 are kindies, 92 1st graders, 98 2nd graders, 76 3rd graders, 127 4th graders, 87 5th graders.
Every morning students at BRE say a pledge. The Pledge is about character traits and being fair to everyone and standing up for yourself and others. It also says you will not leave people out and make them feel unwanted.
BRE Pledge
"I will treat everyone the way I want to be treated, no one should ever be left, unwanted or defeated. I will always be thoughtful, I will always be true. I will stand up for myself and also for you."
Jump Rope for Heart
It is time for Jump Rope for Heart again. Students can ask for donations from relatives and neighbors for every jump they make. The money collected will go to the American Heart Association for Research and heart and stroke prevention. The school goal this year is 10,000 dollars. The prizes this year are great. The grand prize is a new Nintendo Wii. Also if the school can meet the goal our principal, Mrs. Berggren will camp out on the roof of our school for one night.
On Friday February 13th students will gather in the gym and jump, jump, jump. This will mark the beginning of JUMP ROPE FOR HEART!!!
