Growing up in North Dakota surrounded by one older and one younger brother,my childhood was terrific. I traveled around in the cable T.V. business following 2 years of college, and found myself planted in the South Western part of the U.S. until returning to Minnesota to finish college in 1988. I met my wife Sandy in that year and we were married in 1992. As a couple we spent several years in Arizona teaching, and during that time earned 2 Maters degrees in  field of education. In 1999 we were blessed with our only son Joey who we adopted from Korea. What a gift he has been. We moved to Denver in May of 1999 where I became a trainer for The Dale Carnegie Center of Excellence in Denver. I continue to teach courses in the evening, but my passion is still with the kids of Buffalo Ridge.

Joey’s 2nd grade picture
I am an avid golfer and play many rounds in the summer months. I continue to work on my game as well as  getting my son involved. As a family we really enjoy skiing and found Copper mountain to be one of our favorites. We are also into the Vikings, the Aves and enjoy going to watch the Rockies play. We travel in the summer and enjoy camping as a family. A trip to North Dakota is always in the summer plans,to visit both of our families.
Hobbies/Sports
Adopting Joey from Korea was a huge event for my wife and me. After many years of struggling to build a family of our own, God had other plans, and sent us into the adoption arena. This proved to be a real blessing for our family. Joey is strong healthy and very smart. It was like hitting the lottery for our family.
Event That Impacted My Life
There are and have been many wonderful people who have had a great influence on me.  My parents, my wife, former teachers, and  pastors.

The person who has had the greatest influence on me is Jesus, a man I’ve never met, but feel he knows me better than anyone else.

Jesus is the role model who I know will never disappoint me and someone who I try being like every day.  Jesus’ patience, love, and kindness for people in unconditional.

In a world filled with wars, violence, and stress, I can easily find peace by focusing on the person who sacrificed his life for me.

I hope that all people have a person that they can totally trust.

I’m thankful that I have found mine.
